Well everyone, it has taken me a little while to get another post up. I have been a busy bee! My vision of launching a national cable network has come into being. My venture, UBC-TV Network has obtained national cable and satellite distribution deals to launch this fall!! I have been working on this for some time now. It has been years in the making. I did not want to just launch a network that broadcast the regular boring programs, I wanted to be original. I now that people are tired of the same old boring stereotypes that we have been put into.
We are so much more!!! We need a platform to tell our own stories by us! I have turned down money because it would not allow me to have control over my company. It has not been easy for me. This road is not for the weak of heart or the weak of mind. I have been tested time and time again. I must admit there were times I wanted to give up and throw in the towel. I have lost money, been talked about, cheated, thrown road blocks, accused of being a fraud; now that really pissed me off, but I picked myself up and kept going. Why because GOD always stood by me, no matter who was with me or not. Once I really got that, my fears left me. I knew I must do this.
We have over a $960 Billion Dollar yearly buying power, yet we own .5 of cable networks, our ownership in radio is down among all the other media. Basically we do not own our images, but are being dictated to by others on who we are and what we are. That is not fair and it is not an even playing field. So I had to keep it going for that sake alone. Now I am happy to say that there are more networks and media companies owned by African-American and people of color springing up!! We have officially become the mainstream! We always were the mainstream it’s just now it cannot be denied!
So here I am at the best time I could be in launching UBC-TV Network!! Why? Because it is in GOD’s time, not the time I wanted it to be! So I promise you all that this network is dedicated to ORIGINAL PROGRAMMING! I do not plan on re-runs of old, out dated programs that are not relevant to us NOW!! We are a mighty and great people! The world needs to know our achievements and that we have built this country!! We continue to build it. UBC-TV is an inclusive network. My goal is to bring people together. We have a new site http://www.ubctvnetwork.com . We currently have deals with Dish Network, Time Warner and Comcast. We will begin with our VOD channels and our prime time programming which will be from an independent distributor. Channels, cities, times and programs will be on our site, our blogs and soon our Facebook and twitter pages that will be forth coming.

New York, April 2012- Urban Broadcasting Company, a Harlem, New York based broadcast multi-media company has signed national cable and satellite distribution deals to launch a new ‘Urban Lifestyle’ cable network.
UBC-TV Network will produce original urban lifestyle content that will be distributed over multiple platforms which will include cable, VOD, set –top- boxes, mobile, wireless devices, social media and other platforms. UBC-TV Network will be a producing network that will have its’ own ‘UBC Originals’ that include news, entertainment, business, fashion, health and fitness, sports, cooking, live concerts, talk shows and UBC-TV specials. Phase II of the programming rollout will include film, comedy, music, history, dramas and a different approach to the reality show format. UBC-TV’s goal is to provide relevant, diverse, exciting and uplifting programming geared towards the underserved Urban Multi-Cultural market.
UBC-TV has teamed up with ‘Simply Me’ to solidify distribution through Dish Network, Time Warner and Comcast. UBC-TV has additionally secured distribution through independent distributors that will give it the prime time television presence; combining this with its video on demand and mobile presence with a social media tie-in. This combination gives the viewers the opportunity to watch and engage with UBC-TV programming on multiple platforms whenever they choose. UBC-TV will launch with its signature programming August of this year into over 50 + million households with more distribution in the works.
