UBC-TV Prepares To Begin The Promo Of It’s Network And The UBC MIX Dance Show Auditons

New York, NY – UBC-TV Network, a Harlem, New York based broadcast multi-media company and the ABA- American Basketball Association, has locked down the inaugural national broadcast schedule for ABA games to be broadcast on UBC-TV this fall.

The season will kick off with the Jacksonville Giants; last years’ championship team, hosting the SC Warriors in Jacksonville, Fla. on December 8th. The broadcasts will air every Saturday live on UBC-TV. There are currently 12 regular season games scheduled with the option for UBC-TV to add more. UBC-TV will also broadcast the ABA All-Star game, the play-offs and the championship game.

The games will be anchored by Bill Vargus, a two-time Emmy award winning sportscaster and Matt Waymire, has worked with Fox and NBC and has now signed on with UBC Sports. Color commentator will take on a local flavor with each home team giving its home town commentator a chance to work along with Bill Vargus and Matt Waymire.

Half-time will feature local and established performing artists which will make the ABA on UBC-TV a complete entertainment package. There will also be a charity recognized every game, a component that is close to ABA CEO’s Joe Newman’s heart.

Joe says,” “There’s a lot of basketball on television.  Our goal this season is to create something very special – more exciting, more interesting, more entertaining and more relevant than any other basketball.  Combining exciting, fast-paced, high scoring ABA basketball with top flight musical entertainment – and impacting the not-for-profit sector should help develop a large audience,” stated Joe Newman, ABA CEO. “We are extremely pleased to be associated with UBC-TV; this is a group of very creative, groundbreaking people willing to explore new ideas and concepts to make television sports better than ever.  We are very excited about the upcoming season and our televised games.”

Peggy Dodson CEO of UBC-TV Network says, “I am so excited about UBC-TV bringing the ABA to national television. It means so much to sports and to have new professional talent coming into the spotlight is going to thrill audiences across America and the world.”
